A photogenic display of aurora over Church Mountain, or Kirkjufell as is known, Iceland
This is extraordinary , amazing stuff
Mark - 21 December, 2012One of the best photo’s I’ve ever seen. Beautifully worked to bring the best out of it, like all your photos. That 1DX has truly remarkable low light abilities. Only one down side - it saddens me that I can’t access this sort of quality thanks to the prohibitive price of the camera in question :(
Julian - 21 December, 2012I suspect this is going to become an iconic aurora image. No wonder your workshops sell out so quickly!
Omer Ahmed - 23 December, 2012Many thanks for the comments, yes the 1Dx has set the standard for low light photography, it’s been an absolute revelation.
David Clapp - 23 December, 2012Magic, the new Canon flagship in the hands of a master.
Melanie - 09 January, 2013The detail in the shadows is where its at… the quality of the files are just superb. If you could have seen the available light, you wouldn’t have believed anything would be possible in the shadows. As for being a master…. well I’m just doing a job, but very nice of you to say so.
David Clapp - 10 January, 2013This is insane David! I love the composition and the range of tones is stunning.
